How far should a tree be planted from an in-ground sprinkler system?

I am new to a home on a 1/2 acre lot with a homemade in ground sprinkler. I have purchased some small trees (eastern redbud and Japanese Maple) and want to plant them relatively soon. I have an appointment with a sprinkler company to start up the sprinkler in 10 days. I just want to know how far does the tree need to be planted from the sprinkler heads in order not to do damage to the system. I will make modifications to the system once the professional comes out to the home as to which type of sprinkler head we will use near each tree. I appreciate your thoughts in advance!
