hose?When I moved to Tn everybody was always cutting things off or on I had never heard of such a thing and had no idea what a hose pipe was!!!

I have bought a new hose pipe which is on a wheel. I know how to connect the actual hose pipe but do i connect a piece of pipe from my tap into the back of the holder. Then do i connect the hose pipe that come with it to the holder as well.
There`s loads of connection points. Ive only been used to tap and end of hose. Cant find any instructions on web site. If its any help its called aHOZELOCK COMPACT HOSE REEL
