I love to plant and the good weathers coming along. And my soil is dry and not that nice dark moist brown color. its light brown dry and hard. I dont want to go buy bags and bags of soil to put in my garden. so how can i work with what i have?

Buy something like MiracleGrow and work it into your soil.

You could plant either lupins, which also look quite nice, or soy beans for one year, both supply the soil with organic nitrogen. Also, if you have a little room to spare in your garden, I’d suggest a composter where you can put all organic waste (with citrus fruit and banana peels a possible exception, because of the chemicals on them), that gives you at least some good soil the next year. Happy gardening and GOOD LUCK!
