Product Description |
| If you're looking for a simple, wall-mounted reel to keep your hose knot-free and off the ground, the Reel Easy is a fine option. It comes preassembled--a big plus--so all you need to do is mount it to the wall with four screws, which are included. Also, the hose guide helps you wind without tangles, and the snap hook holds the hose end when it's not in use. On the downside, we found the construction a little rickety and the turning action a bit stiff. If you're going to be winding and unwinding your hose frequently, you might want a more polished product, but for light use, this product will keep your hose from rusting in the garden or tripping you up in the garage. Limited lifetime warranty. |

| Bought 2 of these--one out back, one along front side of house--to replace identical reels. Well-made, convenient, was so glad to be able to replace with same thing (unusual in today's world)! |

| Works as advertised (replaced a previous unit whose feeder hose had split), but is susceptible to UV damamge. Previous one worked for 13 years and still would work with new feeder hose, but UV dgradation is obvious. |
Excellent - A Must-Have for any yard

| I have a Ames True Temper Reel Easy Side Mount House Reel on all three of my outside faucets. It easily handles a 100-foot hose. Very easy to use and sturdy. |

Space required that I have a side mount hose reel. I shopped extensively at local retail outlets and none were stocked. Checking on Amazon, I found a product brand that I knew. My order was acknowledged promptly and the reel arrived on the date that was scheduled. The package included all of the parts required for mounting (often not the case). I am completely satisfied with the product and the buying experience.
Thank you for asking. |

recieved this t-day
went to install it in my well's pump house -- fit nicely
got it all installed and turned on the well pump -- promptly srayed the whole interior of the pump house :(
the hose gasket, part #11 in the exploded parts diagram, failed to seal the connection satisfactorialy. Tightening the connection with 2 pairs of pliers slowed, but didn't stop the leakin. borrowin other washers from other water equip I happen to have didn't help either.
wasted a LOT of time fartin around with leaky fittin till I finally hit on a solution -- squeezed a bead of clear silicone round the inside of the female supply hose connector -- then seated the rubber gasket into the siliconed connection and tightened it up to pump male hose connection -- let it set up -- turned it on -- whatta ya know? NO more leak ;)
cain't understand why a *fitted* hose gasket wern't supplied WITH this product -- one that came with it fit poorly -- as did others I tried -- didn't seal completely
Hmmmm
that's *MY* rant fer the day
NOW we'll see how well the reel performs over time ;) |
