Product Description |
| This compact cassette hose reel combines many fine qualities in a most convenient package. It's easy to carry around, exceptionally easy to store, and rugged and waterproof to boot. There are mounting holes on the side in case you want to hang it on the wall when you're not using it, and the double O-rings keep the unit from leaking. Toe tabs help stabilize the cassette when you're pulling out lengths of hose, and the hose winds up easily into its carrier case. And, best of all, this cassette comes with its own hose--65 feet of it. On the downside, this structure needs to be assembled, which isn't a speedy process. And 65 feet of hose may not be enough for your lawn and garden. If it is, however, this cassette reel is a good bet. |

| I have had the product just a short time, and have used it to wash my cars and water the lawn a few times. I like the size of the reel and the quick release capability, which allows for easy removal and storage. Only time will tell about the durability of the reel, but the design definitely meets my needs. Only the small diameter of the hose kept me from giving it a 5. |

| I have owned one for 7 years. It functioned excellently until I had a major remodeling of the front house and the constructor broke it. I,immediately, bought not one, but two. It is very handy, you decide the length you want, and you can extend it or put it back in a flash. Associated with quick connectors it is time and space saving. |

| After struggling with a hose that was sometimes muddy, always kinking, and definitely not fun to roll up after using, I absolutely love my new hose! Not only is it easy to use, it always looks very neat and attractive. This hose and reel has made watering my hanging plants relaxing and enjoyable...just like it should be. |

| The perfect size hose for the smaller jobs. Ours is mounted on the wall in our garage. It is the perfect size for the quick clean-up of the garage floor or our vehicles. The quality of this hose surpasses any other. |

I live in a townhouse and have limited space in my front yard. I didnt want to get one of those big bulky hose reels to have on display on my front patio so I found this ames one and figured I would give it a try.
Pros: Very VERY lightweight, comes with quick connect attachments which makes moving it from front to back yard a breeze. Very small depth so it can hide behind bushes easily. We have an azalea bush and bought a 12x12 cement stone from lowes to put behind it and the hose reel sits on that stone out of sight. Easy to unwind and wind back up.
Cons: The only con is the inner diameter of the hose is on the smaller side so I dont get as much flow out of it as I do with the big hose I have in the backyard. I mainly use this for watering the grass, landscaping, and washing my car so the reduced water flow really isnt a big deal because its not needed...... actually, I think because of it I actually SAVE money on washing my car because I use less water with this reel.
I would buy this again in a heartbeat. There isnt a single other small reel on the market to compete with this. |
